Bethanyt Sullivan

Bethany, who grew up in a military family, has spent the majority of her working years as an executive assistant or office manager, not as it was her calling, rather, it was the best way to provide for her children and pay her bills. A single parent cannot always choose to follow their dreams when life provides unanticipated dead ends and brick walls. In 2010, she walked into her true calling and had the privilege of working at a presidential site and then served 14 years as the director of a local museum.

A life-long lover of American History, she was able to focus her creative talents toward creating informative and visually attractive exhibits. Upon her retirement in 2024, Bethany was able to redirect her artistic talents in a new direction, original and frameable artistic cards. Her closest friends often call her "Busy Bee", which she used as inspiration for her business as "Busy B".

Operating under the premise that people want to give cards that have a visual message or emotion. Further, cards are not inexpensive and could be keepsakes; small works of art. Busy B cards are original, not from kits. Each card is unique and may include use of various mediums such as water color, quilling, and fabrics. While some cards may have pre-formed pieces or "gems", none of them are from patterns.

Busy B creates cards for various traditional holidays as well as the four seasons., and will create custom works as well. Because these small works of art take time to create, they are not available at craft shows or Etsy. Currently, Busy B cards are available directly from the artist and are sold at Spelled Ink, a lovely book store on Main Street in the Town of Orange, Virginia.
