Stephanie Spreeman is the founder and driving force behind Drum Party, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to harnessing the restorative power of rhythm to support wellness, resilience, and connection across diverse communities. Grounded in the belief that “healing begins with a beat,” Stephanie has spent years developing immersive, percussion-based programs that help youth, seniors, veterans, and individuals facing neurological and emotional challenges discover strength and belonging through rhythmic experience.
Stephanie’s personal journey deeply informs her mission. Raised in South Texas, she discovered her lifelong passion for percussion early in life. Music became more than a creative outlet—it became a lifeline after a serious car accident in her teens resulted in significant physical injury and the onset of PTSD. Through rhythm and drumming, Stephanie found emotional grounding, resilience, and a pathway back to joy and purpose—an experience that ultimately inspired her to share the healing potential of rhythm with others.
As a certified drum therapist through Drums and Disabilities, Stephanie is trained to use rhythm intentionally as a therapeutic modality. Under her leadership, Drum Party offers a customized, immersive percussion experience that meets people where they are, whether in healing, celebration, or community building. Programs are designed to be trauma-informed, inclusive, and accessible to all—regardless of musical background or ability.
Drum Party’s impact spans multiple populations. For youth, rhythmic drumming provides a safe, expressive space to build confidence, regulate emotions, and cultivate focus—especially beneficial for children navigating anxiety, ADHD, and other developmental challenges. Through structured group sessions or one-on-one support, Stephanie helps young participants discover self-expression and joy through rhythm.

For seniors, Drum Party brings engaging drumming experiences into assisted living environments and community spaces, promoting memory stimulation, social connection, and emotional uplift. For veterans coping with PTSD and trauma, Stephanie’s rhythmic sessions offer a non-verbal, grounding way to release stress, build community, and foster resilience. Each program is crafted to support mental wellness and emotional reconnection in a safe and welcoming setting.
Beyond therapeutic programs, Drum Party also facilitates group drumming circles and events that strengthen community bonds, support organizational wellness, and celebrate rhythm as a unifying force. By connecting people through shared beat and rhythm, Stephanie Spreeman continues to expand the reach of percussion as not just music, but as a transformative tool for healing, expression, and human connection.
